Account Management Specialist

At Heliolytics we help optimize renewable energy assets by creating innovative tools that are changing the way renewable energy assets are operated and our services actively enable the increased deployment of renewable energy globally. Solar energy systems — our main operational sector — are the fastest growing source of energy globally with installed solar capacity increased by 26% last year.

We manage our full workflow in-house, from collecting imagery data using industry-leading tools and techniques, to providing clear, actionable insights for our clients to make the best decisions possible in the operation of renewable energy assets. We are currently the global leader for aerial inspections of solar arrays, and lead the industry in the development of innovative new technologies and insights.

About the team

Heliolytics’ consulting services improve the performance of renewable power assets with the use of our proprietary inspection and analytics tools and insights. Every day our teams are in the field collecting data using industry-leading tools and techniques, and providing clear, actionable insights for our clients to make the best decisions possible in the operation of their assets. The goal of the Account Management Specialist role is to add capacity to the business development team at Heliolytics, and to ensure the best possible customer experience for existing and new clients.

The Account Management Specialist will assist the Business Development team through maintaining direct communications with our customers, development and maintenance of CRM systems, lead generation, development of sales documents, and ensuring client expectations are met.

You'll be working on things like

  • Maintaining client conversations and ensuring client expectations are met
  • Assisting Business Development managers in originating and developing customer relationships
  • Participating in client calls and maintaining CRM databases
  • Preparing client documents, including quotations, contracts or sales materials
  • Assisting in the creation of sales and marketing tools

Qualities we look for

  • Customer Focus: Heliolytics has a diverse set of clients and requirements, and this role will ensure that clients needs are being met consistently.
  • Organized: There are many moving parts to keep track of, and a drive to develop and/or maintain structure will be critical.
  • Entrepreneurial: This position will coordinate closely with the business development team and the CEO to develop innovative solutions for our customers. You will be in charge of managing major client accounts, and of advocating for our customers in many aspects of business operation.
  • Clear communicator: You will be involved in the creation of copy for marketing materials, and assistance with the development of technical white papers.
  • Team player: Not only will you be working with our Business Development team but also with our other internal team, we need someone who is a strong collaborator across multiple teams.

It would be great if you have experience with

  • CRM – Experience in technical management of client accounts
  • Customer facing roles – we want to keep our customers happy, so let us know if you’ve had experience interfacing directly with customers to determine and meet their needs
  • Spreadsheets – Excel/Gsheet wizardry skills would be helpful
  • Additional language skills (in particular: Spanish, French, Japanese, or German)
  • Programming – not essential but tell us if you have coding experience
