The Eco-yards crew is made up of people respect the earth and each other. We also love beautifying spaces and take pride in each task and job completed. As individuals who take direction well and pay close attention to detail we are able to ensure that each project is completed to the Eco-yards standard. We like to work hard and get dirty, but most importantly we share a true sense of camaraderie and have fun throughout the season.
Our team takes on a variety of projects. We do everything from building rock rivers to installing paving stone and flagstone walkways. We do work on patios and retaining walls, as well as dig out sod and move soil and mulch. Shovels and wheelbarrows are commonly used, so stamina, strength and good body mechanics are important. We plant and do some yard maintenance. We also apply compost tea to our clients yards 3 times per season (check out a video here). Each year we take on more and more projects with a permaculture focus. You'll gain valuable experience in just about every service we provide to our clients.
Our season runs from approximately May to early November, and while we typically work Monday to Friday, occasional weekend work may be requested. We remain flexible in regards to start and end times throughout the season to accommodate hours of daylight, weather and workload.
