Position: Packer/Floor Logistics Coordinator
Organization: Mama Earth Organics
Location: Toronto (near O'Connor & St. Clair Ave. E), Ontario

The Role

Our Packer/Floor Logistics Coordinator is responsible for streamlining and managing our daily processes. This is an ideal position for someone who is super organized, hands-on and loves a fast paced (but also friendly and fun) environment.

Specifically, this position is responsible for ensuring that our day runs smoothly on the floor and processes are followed and that daily expectations are clearly set for our team members. In addition to ensuring that our processes are followed, this position also looks at things critically and constantly tries to find ways to improve our existing processes (while maintaining them).

Our mission is to build a local food system in Toronto (and grow and promote local organic farms and the diversity of produce grown). Practically, the way we do this is by building a logistics team and infrastructure that’s incredibly efficient. This position is vital to the implementation of our daily operations.

You’ll work closely with our Packer Manager and also coordinate and communicate with the various department managers each day (farm deliveries, overall receiving, purchasing team, inventory team, replenishing team and office and customer experience team).

The ideal candidate is able to see and understand the overall picture while making good decisions and keeping our team motivated and happy throughout the day. All of our leaders have a natural “servant manager” approach (where we work for the team that we’re responsible for). This is especially important for this position.

About Us

Our mission is to build a locally-based food system that benefits consumers and local farmers in and around Toronto. Our goal is to build a platform for our farmers and also for our members to access those farms. Our focus is local, organic, small-scale grown or produced food that tastes really good.

Our intergalactic headquarters are located in East Toronto and is around 16,000 square feet. We’re a progressive organization and we’re genuinely focused on the overall happiness, health and balance/mindfulness of our staff.

We’re also growing quickly (we’re consistently named one of the fastest growing companies in Canada each year).
