CLEAN ENERGY JOBS

Position: Analyst or Senior Analyst - Clean Energy Transition

Location: Toronto or Montreal

DUNSKY is a mission-driven consulting firm focused on accelerating the transition to a clean energy future. We help our clients – primarily North American governments, utilities, private firms and non-profits – by assessing market-wide energy efficiency, renewable energy and clean mobility opportunities; by designing programs, policies and strategies to accelerate their adoption; and by evaluating (and improving) their performance.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

You are passionate, rigorous, analytical and communicate effectively. Your experience – at work or in life – tells that story. More specifically, you offer:

Required skills & experience:

  • a background in economics, engineering, building sciences or disciplines relevant to the clean energy transition
  • advanced knowledge of, and experience with, Microsoft Excel
  • ability to write and communicate clearly in English
  • ability to prioritize effectively and work on multiple tasks/ projects within established timelines and budgets
  • ability to work in a team and strong interpersonal skills
  • demonstrated interest in the clean energy transition and an insatiable curiosity

Preferred skills and experience:

  • experience with analytics tools (e.g. Python or R) for modelling economic and energy impacts and trends
  • experience with consulting (project management, synthesizing information, client relationships, etc.)
  • ability to write and communicate clearly in French
  • deep understanding of the issues and complexities of the clean energy transition

At Dunsky, our Analysts typically have 2-5 years’ experience, and our Senior Analysts have 5 or more years’ experience in work that is relevant to supporting the clean energy transition.

RESPONSIBILITIES

At Dunsky Energy Consulting, Analysts and Senior Analysts play an important role supporting our work designing and evaluating clean energy strategies. Their tasks may include:

  • Conducting analysis of energy use and market data to support the design and evaluation of clean energy programs and policies
  • Developing, applying and improving analytical models and tools to assess energy saving opportunities
  • Researching best practices in energy efficiency program design
  • Assessing and characterizing clean energy technologies
  • Conducting primary research such as surveys with market actors and gathering information on market dynamics
  • Documenting, interpreting and presenting findings using compelling visual presentation of data and effective writing

The successful candidate will contribute to impactful projects for clients across Canada and the U.S. and advise key decision-makers and influencers on sustainable energy strategies.

LOCATION

The candidate will be based at our Toronto office (preferably) or our Montreal office.
